Copper

Copper is one of the most widely used metals for industrial purposes due to its chemical and physical properties and because it is easily workable using the most common processing techniques: pressing, extrusion, forging, rolling and moulding at high temperatures.

Copper is characterised by high thermal and electric conductivity and good corrosion resistance. It is also very malleable and ductile.

Semi-finished copper products can undergo galvanic treatments, such as tinning.

Copper is used in semi-finished products for sanitary systems, marine equipment, in electrical engineering and electronics, in sheet metal works, architecture, transport, the construction sector and many other sectors.

Copper is usually provided as DHP copper for general use and as ETP copper when high conductivity is required.

Copper is commercialised in the form of: plates, strips, bars, pipes, connectors, etc.
